FAQs – Next of Kin Certificate Assam

1. Is Death Certificate mandatory?
Yes, without death certificate NOK cannot be issued.

2. Is NOK the same as Legal Heir Certificate?
NOK Certificate is used as legal relationship proof in many cases (insurance, pension, benefits).

3. Is relationship proof mandatory?
Yes. Birth Certificate, Family Tree Certificate or Affidavit can be used.

4. Where is NOK Certificate required?
Bank settlement, PF/ESI claims, insurance claims, service-related benefits, pension & property-related matters.
